What is Gilgit famous? Gilgit Baltistan is renowned for its spectacular natural beauty. It is a famous tourist place and has always been a paradise for mountaineers, trekkers and landscape loving people. شمالی علاقہ جات کی آبادی 81لاکھ نفوس پر مشتمل ہے جبکہ اس کا کل رقبہ 72971مربع کلومیٹر ہے ۔ بلتی، شینا ،بروشسکی، کھوار اور وخی یہاں کی مشہور زبانیں ہیں۔ گلگت بلتستان کے تین ڈویژن ہیں؛ بلتستان ، دیا میراور گلگت۔ بلتستان ڈویژن سکردو،شگر،کھرمنگ اور گانچھے کے اضلاع پر مشتمل ہے ۔ گلگت ڈویژن گلگت،غذر، ہنزہ اورنگر کے اضلاع پر مشتمل ہے۔ جب کہ دیا میر ڈویژن داریل،تانگیر،استوراور دیامرکے اضلاع پر مشتمل ہے ۔ گلگت بلتستان کے شمال مغرب میں افغانستان کی واخان کی پٹی ہے جو گلگت بلتستان کو تاجکستان سے الگ کرتی ہے جب کہ شمال مشرق میں چین کے مسلم اکثریتی صوبے سنکیانگ کا علاقہ ہے۔ جنوب مشرق میں ہندوستان کے زیرانتظام کشمیر، جنوب میں پاکستان کے زیر انتظام کشمیر جبکہ مغرب میں پاکستان کا صوبہ خیبر پختونخوا واقع ہیں۔ اس خطے میں سات ہزار میٹر سے بلند 50 چوٹیاں واقع ہیں۔ دنیا کے تین بلند ترین اور دشوار گزار پہاڑی سلسلے قراقرم،ہمالیہ اور ہندوکش یہاں آکر ملتے ہیں۔ دنیا کی دوسری بلند ترین چوٹی کے ٹو بھی اسی خطے میں واقع ہے۔ جب کہ دنیا کے تین سب سے بڑے گلیشئیر بھی اسی خطے میں واقع ہیں۔ Is Gilgit in India or Pakistan? The order granted self-rule to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, by creating, among other things, an elected Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly and Gilgit-Baltistan Council.
