£50 Carb Autopsy. 1979 AMF Harley-Davidson XLH1000 Ironhead Sportster

It's enough to know those £50 carburetors flooding eBay are crap, but for the curious I present why. Two emulsion tubes; one made by a reputable company, and another from inside the offending article. The carb should in theory work with this modification, but the bike's running fine on the CV40 and I can live with the crappy old '76 fuel tank and Spring is in the air. Modification and rebuild season is now over; it's ride/repair/repeat 'til at least late November, by which time the running repairs will have reached critical mass again.
