The Other Women:A documentary on the Resilience of Women with Disabilities in Extractive Communities

This is a documentary film on the resilience of women with disabilities in extractive (mining & oil) industries in Nigeria. Women with disabilities are often seen and defined by their defects. In Nigeria, where women live at a gender-based disadvantage, these women have a double-disadvantage because of their disability. This documentary explores how these women live in the communities where we have oil & mining activities in Nigeria. It exposes their strength, resilience, ambitions, and achievements.
