Learn American Sign Language with Ms. Angelina as she learns ASL to teach her child with cochlear implants. Made with love for babies and toddlers, but any age is welcome to join along! Deaf or hard-of-hearing children grow up learning written language and sign language. When pictures/objects correlate with signs, it is easier for them to learn and pick up the meaning of the signs. With repetition and patience, learning can be fun! There is a voice commentary for hearing people to understand the signs, but as you listen, think of a world where a person cannot hear, how would they learn? When a deaf child learns, there is no voice commentary for them; they learn through action, facial expressions, pictures, and being expressive. This is why I have geared my ASL lessons towards deaf and hard-of-hearing children, so they feel included in a world where not everyone knows sign language.
