The De La Salle Green Archers are back at the top of the UAAP basketball mountain. The Green Archers pulled away for an 80-72 triumph over the University of the Philippines in the do-or-die Game 3 of the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball Finals, Wednesday afternoon. A crowd of over 24,000 fans watched at the Araneta Coliseum as the Green Archers denied a fairy tale ending for UP's "Maroon 5," with Mike Phillips instead ensuring that he ends his UAAP career with another championship. Phillips earned Finals Most Valuable Player honors for his heroics in Game 3, as he led La Salle to its 11th crown overall in the UAAP.
