The world should increase pressure on Syria, the use of force should only be a last resort in halting the bloodshed there, and only authorised by the U.N.Security Council, says EPP Group foreign policy spokesman Ioannis Kasoulides in EPP TV's monthly programme People First. Kasoulides also condemns the recent killings of Coptic Christians in Egypt and puts pressure on the new Egyptian government to stop the violence. Europe should no longer blindly support governments and ignore their people, he says.
