Crown of Madness is one of the most disappointing spells in DnD 5e. It's one of the spells I've most often seen players ask the DM to retcon to a different known spell once they use it one or two times. All that being said, this video covers some ways to use this spell in a Dungeons and Dragons game that make it suck less.
