Kettlebell = 16 kg. / 35 lbs. Lunge Clean to Overhead Lunge. Why this? Dynamic lunge patterns keep you springy and agile. Excellent for developing attributes needed to defend takedowns. Kettlebells that you consider light for conventional movements might push you around here. Great for developing multi planar force stabilization. This combination allows me to cycle through many repetitions while unilaterally challenging most of the functions missing in heavier“flat footed” exercises. How did it go? I have to stop when the weakest link in the movement chain cannot stabilize/decelerate the load. For me, that link is dropping backward into the overhead lunge. That being the case, had to bail at about 9 minutes. This combination gets on you, but it’s spread so evenly that you achieve systemic fatigue, but not too much localized soreness afterwards.
