28 rescued in ‘historic’ New York storm, state of emergency to remain: Gov. Hochul

Governor Kathy Hochul of New York declared that a “historic” storm resulting in significant flooding in New York City had led to the rescue of twenty-eight individuals. She announced that a state of emergency would remain in place for the next six days during a press conference. Remarkably, there were no reported fatalities resulting from the storm, as confirmed by Governor Hochul.
