The Sun has erupted non-stop this month, and more giant flares are coming. Of all the eruptions so far, the February 15 eruption was the most epic. It featured a prominence that extended 3.5 million km into space. That's roughly five times the radius of the Sun. A solar storm also knocked off 40 Starlink satellites earlier this month. The Sun entered the 25th solar cycle in December 2019. Hence, such flares are going to become much more frequent in the coming years. The Solar maximum will be around 2025.
