FREE Pool Heater - Mikes Inventions

https://mikesinventions.etsy.com Alex and I made a pool heater out of some copper tubing my grandfather-in-law gave me way back in... 2017? We always wanted to make a solar water heater with it, but we ended up coiling it all up and using it to heat the in-law's pool. We used somewhere between 50 and 100' of 3/8 copper tubing and spiraled it over a steel X frame I welded up out of 1/2" angle iron. The spiraled tubing was then lashed to the X frame with some 12ga solid copper wire. A 6' leader hose was cut in half and hose clamped to the ends of the tubing so two hoses could be hooked up. The coil is fed by a 1/6HP Drummond utility pump from Harbor Freight. The water is pulled from the steps and then returned to the deep end to get maximum natural convection. The deep end hose is held down by one of my cement weight blocks from my Fast 5 series. Check it out!
