In the meeting between North Korea and South Korea at the DMZ, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed the Panmunjom declaration and agreed to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and seek a permanent end to the 1950s Korean war. Similar commitments and calls for action on a peace treaty and denuclearization came in 1992, 1994, 2005, and 2010 -- so will these talks prove any different? Only time will tell.
