Across the Stars (Anakin & Padmé Suite)

With this suite I tried to capture the sweeping emotional journey, that is Anakin and Padmé's love across the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. It follows their relationship from its innocent beginnings, with their love growing ever stronger, only to be challenged by the forbidden nature of their bond, which they must keep secret. Anakin's fear of losing Padmé, as he once lost his mother, adds to the trials they face, leading to the heartbreaking conclusion where Anakin descends into darkness and Padmé meets her untimely death, leaving the galaxy in darkness.Anakin & Padmé | Across the Stars | Star Wars Prequel Trilogy Soundtrack Suite The Suite is divided into four sections: 00:00 Prelude | Innocent Encounters: This short prelude captures the tender beginnings of Anakin and Padmé’s relationship, marked by their first innocent meetings. 02:34 Part I Starcrossed Lovers: Their forbidden love grows ever stronger as they spend more time together in hiding on Naboo. When faced with the prospect of the death in the Arena, they decide to give into their love, whatever it may cost. 14:27 Part II Trials and Tribulations: Anakin’s trauma over losing his mother fuels his fear of losing Padmé in the same way. His increasing desperation to protect her has the potentential to lead the lovers down a dark path. 28:36 Part III The Lovers' Fate: Anakin's turn to the dark side in order save Padmé ultimately leads to the destruction of their relationship. Anakin becomes more machine than man and Padmé, the only person who believes there is still good in him, dies.
