That’s not something you see often, especially from someone who has already faced Thanos, gods, monsters, and armies. If Thor is this worried about what’s coming, then Doctor Doom has to be a serious problem. And not just serious, he has to be scarier than Thanos. Bigger threat. Smarter. More dangerous. More intimidating. Otherwise this doesn’t work. The trailer looks good. The tone feels heavier. Thor feels serious again. But I’m still not fully sold until we actually see Doctor Doom on screen and feel that fear translate to the audience.
