Pressure cook it for 5-6 whistles with adding some salt. Add salt to the eggs and beat them well (If you like veg tadka then skip this step). Heat 1 tbs of oil in a pan and add the beaten eggs. Stir it and make scrambled eggs(or egg bhurji). Keep it aside. Heat 3 tbs of oil in the same pan and add bay leaf. Then add the onions and fry till translucent. Add garlic, ginger and fry for 1 minute. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well. Add some water to avoid burning. Add the tomato paste and cook till oil separates from the masalas. Add green chillis and cook. Now add the boiled dal and mix everything well. Add water if you feel it is too dry. Cover and cook for 5 mins. Add kasuri methi, garam masala and mix everything well. Cook for 1 minute. (If you like veg tadka then stop here and skip the next steps). Add the crumbled eggs and mix it. Egg tadka is ready to serve.
