Beccy Owen's Pop-Up Choirs performing LIVE for CLIC Sargent @ City Hall Newcastle, 3rd December 2018. In this video you hear two a capella songs performed by 18 singers, drawn from an 8-week pop-up choir programme 'The Heart of Winter', led by Beccy Owen. We sing 'Gaudeamus Hodie' (Let's Rejoice Today) a traditional song in Latin, followed by 'Star of Wonder' by The Roches Beccy Owen's Pop-Up Choirs is an on-going series of group singing events. Bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds and musical tastes, a pop-up choir is a one-off musical happening that changes every time. EVERYONE is welcome to take part. We tend to work a cappella (without any instrumental accompaniment) and always have loads of fun. The emphasis is on enjoyment, not perfection. There are no auditions and all voices are welcome (yes, even yours!)
