The narrative continues from Marvel's Spider-Man and its downloadable content The City That Never Sleeps, during which Miles Morales is bitten by a genetically-enhanced spider and gains powers similar to Peter Parker's. A year after the first game and its DLC, Miles has fully integrated himself into the black and red suit as an experienced Spider-Man while defending both his new home in Harlem and the rest of New York City from a gang war between the Roxxon energy corporation and a high-tech criminal army lead by the Tinkerer. Parker tells Miles that he has to be like his late father and walk on the path to becoming a hero for the city of New York. Marvel's Spider-Man is a 2018 action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man, it is inspired by the long-running comic book mythology and adaptations in other media. In the main storyline, the super-human crime lord Mister Negative orchestrates a plot to seize control of New York City's criminal underworld. When Mister Negative threatens to release a deadly virus, Spider-Man must confront him and protect the city while dealing with the personal problems of his civilian persona, Peter Parker. Investigate the Roxxon Plaza From the challenge area you just completed, head east across Harlem towards the edge where the new Roxxon Plaza has been built, complete with the giant ominous orb in the middle of the plaza. After getting the spiel from Simon Krieger, Miles will investigate a nearby broken window, and once inside, check out the computer at the far end of the room, only to be attacked by the unknown intruder. These new enemies you’ll face come armed with some seriously wild purple-tinted tech that allows them to form giant gauntlets and firearms alike. Just like armed opponents, the gauntlets will block direct attacks - but they’ll also be immune to launching, at least from head-on attacks. Instead, use your Venom Punch to break their gauntlets to knock them down to size, and set about webbing up or disarming the ranged attackers to even the playing field. If you're lacking sufficient Venom Power, you can always dodge under them to attack from behind, or build up your meter by dodging and fighting others. As more opponents appear on the roofs above, they may also toss down grenades. Luckily, like most everything else, you can quickly grab onto them and launch them right back at your attackers to deal some massive damage to a group at once. Note that their crazy tech can repair itself, so even disarming their shooters won't last forever. Keep moving along rooftops as more appear until some nearby windows are broken, revealing more attackers inside one of the buildings. They’ll try and hold you off as they access some files, but you priority is taking down every last one of them. Watch in particular for the enemies with the gauntlets as they can employ some ground pounding shockwave attacks you’ll need to avoid, and stun them with thrown objects until you can break through their defenses or use a special takedown on them. Continue beating them up as you move up the floors to higher levels, and watch for more incoming grenades and gunfire - and remember you can use a lot of objects in these rooms to throw back and smash your attackers with.
