Fire broke out at the Mira Ajyad Hotel in Mecca | Damaging a restaurant and the hotel facade

A fire was reported in the Ajyad area of Makkah on Thursday, 12 March 2026, around 5 PM local time. The blaze broke out at the Mira Ajyad Hotel, affecting the hotel's facade and a nearby restaurant area. Saudi Civil Defence teams responded immediately to contain the fire, which reportedly started from waste and construction materials on an adjacent empty plot.
