A woman has died after a vehicle crashed into a Florence market on Saturday. The accident occurred at 5:01 p.m. when the vehicle crashed into Yasmin Halal Market, located near the intersection of Turfway and Sebree, according to the Florence Police Department. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found that a gray Toyota Camry had accelerated forward, striking a pedestrian before coming to a stop inside the business. Florence EMS pronounced the pedestrian, identified as 63-year-old Fatuma Ali of Florence, deceased from her injuries. The driver of the Toyota Camry remained at the scene and was cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
