Late summer surge of heat & humidity in Charlotte, NC: Majestic Storm forecast

The Charlotte area will feel a last-minute surge of summer with temperatures in the upper 80s and 90s through this weekend. Majestic Storm breaks down the forecast. Thursday (today): Sunny and warmer with highs in the upper 80s and just a tad more humidity. Can't rule out a very isolated shower, but the chances are slim, around 10-20%. These chances are mainly south of us closer to Columbia. Friday: Sunny and hot with highs close to 90 degrees, which could be the first one since Aug. 18. Weekend: Hot and humid Saturday with a very isolated storm chance and highs in the upper 80s. It will be a hot a humid day. Not everyone will see rain but late afternoon into the evening scattered storms are possible. Sunday will be warm and a little less humid with highs in the low to mid-80s.
