CJNI-FM: TOTH ID & “CityNews Everywhere” join at 11 p.m. AT April 26, 2022

Top of the Hour ID for CityNews 95.7 Halifax as it joins the national newscast “CityNews Everywhere.” CityNews Everywhere follows the same news wheel format with a national/international focus, airing content originating from CityNews radio and tv stations across the country with sports at :15/:45, business at :26/:56, and “local updates” on the 1s to carry traffic/weather reports in markets such as Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. In place of no night/weekend traffic reports, 95.7 airs pre-recorded news updates and weather reports weekdays. Since the station has no weekend news staff, it airs “In case you missed it” from the Todd Veinotte Show in place of a local news with a recorded forecast from its sister station in Kitchener. The station previously aired CBS Sports Radio in place of news content during the overnight hours. The newscast featured originated from the CityNews 1130 station in Vancouver, B.C. The station was originally branded as NEWS 95.7 but this and other Rogers news stations across the country rebranded to CityNews in Fall of 2021 integrating the radio and tv brands. https://halifax.citynews.ca Copyright: Rogers Media.
