👨🎤💵 "Benny" (Deleted/Extended Scene) 📼 Found a stack of my old VHS tapes in my parents’ attic — including this 2003 TV recording of "The Money Pit" (1986). 🎬 This TV cut features extended and deleted scenes that never made it to DVD, Blu‑ray, or cable versions — maybe even from the original theatrical cut (not 100% sure, but it feels like it). 😂 This movie has always been one of my comfort‑comedies: chaotic, charming, and criminally underrated. Tom Hanks & Shelley Long at their comedic best. 📺 Recorded on my beloved TiVo (RIP to that glorious machine). Respectfully, the full length upload of the movie was blocked due to copyright, so I had to trim it down to the extended cuts and deleted scenes. ****** [tracklisting & details] ****** - "Benny" (Extended/Deleted Scene): 00:00 - Walter visits one of his clients, Benny, to ask for a loan for a down payment on a house since Walter gave him a huge tax break recently. Benny is presumably a teen pop singing star with a large ego who refuses Walter's request at first. 01:57 - Additional banter between Walter and Benny after Walter claims "he will like Benny again" toward the end of the scene, which is cut out of any current digital releases I've been able to discover. ****** Here is a link to the other deleted and extended scenes, including commercial breaks and the opening and closing credits. • "The Money Pit" (1986) - Extended & Delete... ****** Last notes: There is reference to Benny's "Girlfriend" in the credits and on IMDB - which is interesting as she isn't seen in any release available, including my recording posted here. Benny does say he's "got a chick waiting in the jacuzzi" or maybe it's one of the "chicks" next to him during the wedding finale scene? Folks have asked which cartoon is playing in the background on a television during the "Benny" scene - and I believe it's "The New Adventures of Woody Woodpecker" - a syndicated rework of the original series that ran in the late 80s. There may be other deleted scenes out there or they ended up on the cutting room floor. Please leave a comment should there be an uncut version of the film or deleted scenes available online for us fans to watch in full. ✨ — — — ⭐ BONUS POINTS ⭐ — — — ✨ for anyone who may have a recording of the televised version of “THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING WOMAN” (starring Lily Tomlin). There were several deleted scenes shown only during TV airings that I’m desperate to find!
