Stoveplay: Dark Souls (PC) Part 24: Crystal Cave

Dorito walks the invisible. The Crystal Cave isn't so much a cave as it is a giant crystalline crater, with invisible pathways and other precarious footing. Also walking clams. It's not terrible, even with liberal use of prism stones for safety, because safety is 10/10. We encountered him earlier, but who is Seath the Scaleless? Well, I'm glad you asked that. Seath is an albino dragon who betrayed his fellow dragons during that big war in the Age of Ancients and stole the Primordial Crystal, the source of his immortality, all because they made fun of him for looking like a cephalopod or something. For this noble act of treachery, he was granted a dukedom by Lord Gwyn. Seath's hobby besides is mad science, and to this end he sends his channelers across Lordran to abduct test subjects. He has a particular fondness for taking nice young ladies, like Dusk of Oolacile, and placing them inside golden crystal golems. This time we come across another one in Sieglinde of Catarina, daughter of Siegmeyer. Seath the Scaleless is easy, but cutting his tail is a pain in the ass. Besides hurting a lot (holy shit), its hitbox for making a clean cut is deceptively small and it never stays still long enough for you to actually attack it without Seath moving around like a swivel chair. None of the distraction spells seem to work either despite Seath's blindness, but you can trick him into breaking the Primordial Crystal... P.S.: Don't ask me what the deal is with the horizontal line in Seath's lair. I don't know. P.P.S.: This video's getting a weird influx of traffic and I find it confusing and flattering. I THINK I understand what's going on, but this is one I'd rather not have show up on the related videos list. Thanks YouTube algorithms. Anyway, to any viewer who's stumbled here somehow, I say hello to you and that I do much better in the DLC. I promise.
