Christmas 1968 - Linsey's and Oughton's

The year is 1968, and not only are you treated to a clip of my father, Peter Linsey, doing his beloved fishing, but you are invited to join my family on one of their famous Christmas celebrations. Three years before I was born, my mother and father joined with my mother's sister Joyce, her then husband Ralph Oughton, and their two daughters Lorraine and Allison. In the background you will see my nan, Alice Whitfield. Christmases were always a big affair in our family, there was always a lot of food, drink and (usually) smoking! Afterwards everyone had to dance to the record player (it was the law!). Apologies for how dark most of this film is, the box Brownie relied on you attaching a large 'bulb' to the top of it to light dark rooms, and my father often forgot to do this! So enjoy... and party like its 1968..
