AFTERNOON . session.—————————————————————————————— RESOLVING THE CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES IN THE BODY OF CHRIST. ——————————————————————— Beloved, it is quite evident there issues in the body of Christ that divide and that stir contentions among the saints. These issues have hindered the coming together of the saints in divers ways. These controversial issues were generated and built up by the traditions that the apostle church incorporated in the doctrines of the church. It is of absolute interest for us to know that anything that disintegrate us is not of Christ. Anything that brings us together is of God. We have seen clearly over the years that it is the man made doctrines, human elements and traditions of men that separated us all these while. To facilitate the coming together of the saints which will bring us to the unity of the faith, we must lay aside all the traditions and human elements that are attached to the gospel of Christ. We cannot hold unto the traditions of men and come to the unity of the faith as God desires of the church. The early church that held all things in common only held unto and emphasized only the Gospel of Christ (The Apostles doctrines). They did not allow anything of man to come into the doctrines of Christ which they held. The divisions , hatred, jealous, schisms we see in the body of Christ today are all gendered by these traditions and human elements, We are at the verge of the closing of the age and the eternal purpose of God must come to fruition fully. Perfect men in the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ must emerge, For this to become an absolute reality, we must set aside the traditions and the culture of men which have hindered us all these while and facilitate the gospel of Christ which is the only instrument that can accomplish the purpose of God. We must begin to trust the Holy Spirit to enable us to resolve the issues that divide and separate us, Evidently, most of those things that divide us and gender strife and jealous is actually because of not knowing the scriptures and the mind of God, Jesus noted that the people erred because they do not know the scriptures nor the power of God, I believe that coming to the point of knowing the scriptures will help us a lot to resolve the issues that put us aside and facilitate our coming together to the place of holding all things in common, Knowing the scriptures is actually knowing the mind of God in His sayings in the scriptures. Every commandment and law God gives to us, He gives for a reason, by this we could say there is such thing as “THE INTENT OF THE LAW” When the internt of every law that God gave is being made clear and we come to the place of agreement to such revealed understand, it will enhance our coming togething and having all things in common. When we know the truth or the intent of God telling Israel not to wear clothes of divers material, not to sow divers seed in the vineyard, not to wear what belongs to the opposite sex, to keep certain days holy etc they will help us a lot. This issues are highly necessary for the church because 1. They will facilitate love among the saints. 2. They will bring the saints together and facilitate coming to the unity of the faith and having all things in common. 3. The church will discard religion and traditions of men and hold unto the pure gospel of the kingdom 4. These will enhance the growth of individual believer and the growth of the entire church as a body. 5. These will make the word of the Lord to prosper speedily in the saints, thereby realizing to the fullness the eternal purpose of God. 6. These will bring to an end unnecessary strive, division, the way we do it syndrome, and will encourage oneness among believers. Beloved, it’s time to go only for the things that are expedient and put other things aside, despite that they might appear lawful. We are in the season of the fulfillment of the prophecy of Jesus. “And this gospel of the kingdom must be preached as a witness to all nations then the end will come. Take note Jesus didn’t say that the gospel and the traditions of men will be preached alongside. He said “This gospel of the Kingdom” Amen.
