Russia's war on Ukraine has raised many questions about the November G-20 summit to be held in Bali. Some experts had hoped that the meeting, which will very likely also be attended by Presidents Xi and Putin, might lay the foundations for some form of settlement to the war. More recent developments, however, have made this prospect far hazier. In this context, this latest EPRS roundtable – organised together with the European Parliament's ASEAN office – will discuss the summit's potential to achieve results, shed light on the Global South's ambiguous reactions to Russia's aggression and assess the potential impact of the summit on the current geopolitical context.
