The UK hosted the first-ever AUKUS artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy trial in April at Upavon in Wiltshire. The exercise involved collaboratively swarming different AI platforms to detect and track military targets in real time. The UK said over 70 military and civilian defense personnel and industry contractors participated in the exercise. The drone swarm component consisted of groups of Blue Bear Ghost and Boeing/Insitu CT220 uncrewed aircraft provided by the UK and Australia respectively.
