Bethlehem Lutheran Sermon 01-11-2026

Pastor Rosenberg presents: "Anointed to Fulfill All Righteousness | Baptism of Jesus (Matthew 3)." Bethlehem is a Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Church and Preschool in Carmel, Indiana. Visit: http://beth.church or call (317) 571-0204 1. Jesus was baptized to stand in our place Though sinless, Jesus identified with sinners so He could carry our guilt and fulfill God’s saving plan. 2. “To fulfill all righteousness” means perfect obedience Jesus completed everything the Father required—for us and in our place. 3. Baptism is God’s gift, not our work It is God acting for us—removing sin, uniting us to Christ, and making us His children. 4. We cannot excuse or compare away our sin Honest repentance is necessary, and only Christ’s righteousness saves. 5. Because Christ fulfilled righteousness, we live in peace and confidence His victory over sin, death, and Satan is now ours, and nothing can separate us from Him.
