OLBERMANN VS...McCARTHY'S EXCUSE FOR TALKING OF HITTING PELOSI. IS HE STONED? NO, SERIOUSLY - IS HE?

Remember how opioid addict Rush Limbaugh used to fantasize about violence towards liberals and women, and then insult those who objected by saying 'I was obviously joking'? Remember Trump saying pro-assassination or misogynistic or antisemitic or other horrible things, and then mocking his critics by saying 'I was obviously joking?' Guess what. After House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told one of his fascist rallies Saturday night that “I want you to watch Nancy Pelosi hand me that gavel. It'll be hard not to hit her with it," late Sunday afternoon his spokesman dismissed the fantasy of violence against the SPEAKER OF THE GODDAMNED HOUSE by saying McCarthy "was obviously joking." Once again I found myself wondering if the key fascists are, as Limbaugh was, using painkillers. Their most obvious side effect, and Limbaugh was like a living FDA experiment on the subject, is the confidence that no matter what, you could get away with it. Threaten a prominent woman public figure, enjoy the applause of the sadists in your audience, and then assume you can escape any actual responsibility for your dog-whistle by insisting you were joking. This is not to minimize or dismiss addiction - nor the evil in the souls of the modern Republican party and other Trump cultists. But would this Limbaugh theory explain McCarthy? Trump? Gaetz? Giuliani? Are they just buzzed or stoned or strung out? That'd be an irony of epic proportions, since these are the same monsters keeping half the country from getting vaccinated. There's new evidence about what will get the Vax Slackers to save themselves and others and it is NOT being nice to them. I have an additional thought as to how to make the vaccine appeal to the fascists - and it circles back to Limbaugh again.
