The final stage and BOY is it a long one. I'm just skipping to the boss fights cuz I know I'll run out of space. 43:48 - Rosencrantz - Rosencrantz is basically a big fly so the guy that specializes in punching things is gonna have a hard time hitting him. Rosencrantz likes to fire lightning blasts, drop poison flames, and summon adds to fight you. May as well use your magic to easily KO those adds. He'll eventually reach a phase where he starts to fly above Roberto and slam down, getting stuck in the ground on the final slam. This is the only time Roberto can actually hurt Rosencrantz, so just keep wailing on him at that point and you'll eventually win. 52:10 - Claudius 2 - Tenkai wrecks him with mutli-thrust. 56:25 - Munenori Yagyu 4 - Munenori gains a new ability to duplicate himself, so you essentially have to fight two of him at the same time when he's split. The health bar is hidden when this happens, so you just have to attack randomly until the fake one disperses and then keep wailing on the real one. Magic is effective. 1:00:17 - Ophelia 2 - Ohatsu wrecks her with her gun. 1:07:15 - Shogun Mech - Back to Soki, we're up against Hideyoshi in a mech he pulled out of his ass. This is a much easier fight than Hideyoshi himself, so I'm not complaining. We can't damage the mech at all until we attack its legs, then it'll topple over when they both get electrified. Once he's down we can damage his HP. When he recovers from this, he'll charge up a shockwave and release it around him so it's a good idea to back up. His other moves include kicking you, slashing with the sword, and firing missiles that explode on impact with Soki or impale the ground and detonate after enough time has passed. 11:14:35 - Genma Mother Tree - The tree, or Yodo if you prefer, is a rather annoying fight. She fires lasers almost nonstop that home in on you and make it hard to get close to her and attack. She'll also summon enemies and shield herself, forcing you to defeat them first before you can return to damaging here. A good tactic is to have you yourself dodge the lasers while your ally is set to All-Out Attack and wails on her. She can also spring up tentacles that, if they hit someone, will make them go berserk and attack the other. 1:30:40 - Fortinbras - This is Fortinbras in his White Serpent form. You may recognize him as the final boss of Onimusha 1. He's hit the gym since then so we can only fight him in a buffed up Onimusha form powered by the Demon King's soul trapped in the Oni Gauntlet. This fight...kind of sucks. Don't get me wrong, it's epic as shit and I can appreciate that. But the gameplay is...not great. See the biggest issue here is that Fortinbras has some absurdly long and powerful combos that will drain majority of Soki's HP in one go. You're expected to dodge these obviously but...you really can't. Despite this being the open sky, it actually isn't. You see, there are invisible walls on the left and the boss is always staring at you directly so you have absolutely no way to tell your orientation. This means you'll try to dodge right only to not move an inch and then get demolished by a ridiculous final boss combo. But hey, this is the end of the game, so screw it. Just use all your healing items here. There's no NG+ so there's literally no reason to NOT burn through all your resources. Just don't use all of them cuz we have yet ANOTHER boss. 1:44:13 - Fortinbras - Now we fight the same guy, but in his human form. Human Fortinbras spends most of his time levitating above us and having some invincible floating eye monsters cast spells of various elements at us. The only way to get him down is to wait for him to power up an energy ball, absorb souls from it, and deflect it back at him. This will allow you to be able to kill the eye monsters. Then he will be temporarily punishable as he descends to the ground. He will however recover and go right back to what he was doing. As he loses HP he will summon even more eye monsters with more elemental attacks. You kind of just have to pray the eye monsters don't hit you as you're trying to reflect Fortinbras's attack. He also has his own attacks which include summoning a SHIT TON of homing lasers to attack you that are nigh impossible to avoid and always break your guard if you attempt to block them. He can also cause a shower of meteors to descend upon you in a random order, to give you even MORE to dodge as the eye monsters hit you with elemental attacks. The best way to deal with this guy is to bring Jubei and use her Demon Eye to slow time on him as he descends, then get in as much damage as possible so you don't have to suffer through his attacks for any longer. Defeating him will FINALLY end the game. I ran out of space to talk, so I'll just conclude by saying I loved this game.
