Want to Double Your Livestream Views? Do These Five Things.

Every streamer’s path is different to grow, but here are the 5 steps that I took to nearly triple my livestream viewership on Twitch: 1- Have a real schedule. Even if it’s just one day a week. Consistency matters more than you think. 2- Put Your Community First. Early on, I realized that if I only play with friends on-stream, there’s just too many inside jokes and loud voice chat banter that can scare away new viewers. Now I’m intentional about creating a space where everyone feels invited. 3- Encourage lurkers to participate. There’s a lot of debate about how Twitch counts lurkers. Never call out lurkers, but it’s okay to encourage them to participate with daily check-ins, prizes, and giveaways. 4- Actively network. Discoverability on Twitch is virtually nonexistent. You have to expose yourself on Twitch so folks know that you exist. But, make those connections genuine. Folks see right through the “self-promo”. 5- Post everywhere. I use my socials to promote my Twitch - and it works. I’ve had viewers find me through TikTok and Twitter. Keep going, keep experimenting, and keep making your streams fun!
