His First Antelope Hunt | Wyoming Public Land Buck Down! (September 2020 Hunt)

He put in 4 years for a Wyoming Antelope tag! After all these years dreaming and hoping to be drawn the big day has finally come! Micajah Goins finally drew a tag and heads out to hunt this unit that has pubic BLM land and easy access from the road. Watch as he hunts and tags his first antelope! Micajah recently joined our prostaff! Welcome him to the crew in the comments! #TeamOutdoors #hunting Interesting facts about Wyoming Antelope: Wyoming has more antelope than anywhere else on the North American continent. The harvest success commonly exceeds 85% for Antelope hunters in Wyoming. Pronghorn, called antelope here, are found only in western North America. Antelope hunting is managed with specific quotas to maintain healthy populations. There are a specific, set number of licenses valid for each hunting area. If you are lucky enough to be drawn, a hunter can also purchase a second tag/licenses for some hunt areas that allow for any antelope if they are available (usually on units with more private than public land). Check out the south-central, southwest, and central Wyoming for the most popular areas to hunt because of the large amount of public lands available. Note: public land hunts are typically hard to draw. For more, check out the Wyoming Game and Fish website: https://wgfd.wyo.gov/hunting/hunt-pla...
