The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a 4,692 kilometer long racing circuit in the municipality of Portimão, Portugal. Construction of the track was completed in October 2008. On July 24, 2020, it was announced that an official Grand Prix Formula 1 would be held for the first time during the modified Formula 1 season. [1] This is because the calendar of the season had to be thoroughly adjusted in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The GP of Portugal 2020 was held on October 25. In the 2021 season, another Grand Prix will be held on the track on 2 May.
