The shutdown halted food aid to millions of households, cancelled thousands of flights and forced federal workers to go unpaid for more than a month. Ukrainian President wants frozen Russian assets to be used to fund the next stages of his country's war against Russia. In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg Television, Volodymyr Zelenskiy says fresh European funding using Russian funds, is critical for sustaining his country's war effort, ramping up pressure on Brussels to end long-running divisions over the plan.
