In this two-part series, I'll take you on a journey through the ancient Mayan civilization. We'll explore ruins like Chichen Itza, one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World." We'll swim in a cenote, so typical of Yucatán, and visit colonial cities like Mérida and Izamal. In the first part, we'll visit the Mayan sites of Ek Balam, Chichen Itza, and Uxmal.
