India witnesses biggest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

India reported well over 6,700 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours — the fifth peak in day-to-day rise in as many days. Following this, the country’s total case count crossed 1.31 lakh, just five days after the tally went past the 1 lakh mark.According to Union Health ministry's daily update, total cases as of 8 am stand at 1,31,868.
