Dr. Firszt helps his patients understand and treat their specific allergies. Dr. Firszt’s practice is located at the Rocky Mountain Allergy office in Tanner Clinic’s Murray location. Dr. Firszt completed his schooling and pediatric residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He then fulfilled his residency at Montreal Children’s Hospital and his Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Duke University in North Carolina. After concluding his fellowship in 2011, Dr. Firszt moved across the country to Utah where he began his career at the University of Utah. During his time at the University of Utah, Dr. Firszt served as Division Chief of the Allergy and Immunology Division at Primary Children’s Hospital. He developed and was the Medical Director of the Food Allergy Center at Primary Children’s Hospital in collaboration with Food Allergy and Research Education (FARE). He was involved in extensive research of food allergies and Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) and has numerous publications in these areas. Dr. Firszt’s primary focus is incorporating innovative treatments for food allergies into his daily practice. He and his team have successfully treated many patients’ life threatening food allergies and dramatically improved their qualities of life. Many of Dr. Firszt’s patients now freely incorporate these once-life-threatening foods into their regular diets. Dr. Firszt also treats patients with diverse sets of allergic and immunological conditions. He has extensive experience treating patients with EoE, asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis, hives, mast cell activation syndrome, mastocytosis, immune system complications and recurring infections. With so many patients seeking treatment for their allergies, Dr. Firszt keenly opened his practice at Tanner Clinic where he could dedicate more time and flexibility to his patients.
