Canterbury is a city in Kent with a population of about 60,000 people. The drive was filmed on Tuesday July 25 2023 just after 4pm. It starts at the Wincheap roundabout by the castle ruins on the south side of the city and goes as far as one can along Castle Street. We then get another view of the Cathedral from Victoria Row on the east side. Nearby at Northgate we turn left along Kingsmead Road turning left at the north end of the city into St Stephen's Road at the roundabout. This we follow passing Kingsmead House dated 1620. Eventually the road becomes North Lane passing next to the Great Stour River. At the roundabout we go left into North Downs Way and drive through Westgate Towers the medieval gatehouse built around 1379, and continue along St Peter's Place. This is just a little way west of where we were in Castle Street. We restart going in the opposite direction along North Downs Way passing Westgate Towers and a large group of tourists with Trinity green backpacks. Eventually we go over the level crossing near Canterbury West Station and the trip ends shortly afterwards.
