Toyota Yaris Excel 10months old will NOT start

I tried to start my 10 month old Toyota Yaris Excel this morning but it would not start. Toyota Assistance responded quickly and the AA man arrived in 15minutes. His battery tester showed that the 12V battery had failed. My car is now at the dealer.
