Trail running to find snow in the Smoky Mountains

This is the story of how I fell 5-6 times while looking for snow in the smokies. I started at Smokemont and ran up toward Mt LeConte passing Charlie’s Bunion and Icewater Spring on the Appalachian Trail. This was January 14 2024, just before the park got 12” of snow and was forced to closed.
