Somehow, despite the length of time the Archive has been operating, this is the first footage I've shared of me clearing the Derelict Citadel Containment Room with a Tachyomatic Carbine. It is quite the video, too: quick, kinetic, and brutal close-range combat. A few items of note: Close-quarters combat in RETURNAL, particularly against overwhelming numbers, demands acute situational awareness and quick reactions. Thankfully, I was sufficiently caffeinated to cope with the chaos of the first twenty-six seconds of this clip! Voidbeam, while disproportionately powerful in the Overgrown Ruins and Crimson Wastes, proves less than effective at dispatching the Armored Machina of Round II. In hindsight, I should have applied my alt-fire to the seven Drones that descend from on high at 0:40. As demonstrated at 1:33, my melee attack is particularly effective in this clip. This is owed to the suit artifact Adrenaline Fury, which increases Selene's melee damage by 100% while decreasing its cooldown by 50%. Enjoy the spectacle, dear viewer.
