A lot of families have their go-to dessert. In my family, itâs ice cream. This year, I didnât want to give gifts that anyone could just buy. So I leaned into my dessert-making skills, paired that with what my boyfriend says is the sharpest memory in town (lol), and made scratch-made, custom ice cream for each of my family members. I sent myself into a full-blown ice cream intensive for almost a month. Every day I was either reading ice cream books and taking notes, strategizing, rolling a cart at the grocery store, making mix-ins and bases, or churning an ice cream. And not to mentionâĶ I only cried from stress ONCE. What a win. ð ðž Fun fact: I ran through almost three Costco egg packs for this! Every ice cream that you see has a custard base, making them really rich, unlike most store-bought, Philly-style ice creams. *I didnât include the designed labels here since they have more personal details, and I wanted to keep some things just for family.
