Here is a little introduction about me and my channel Aroy Family! I’m Pimnara but my friends call me Nana. I was born in Bangkok but I’m currently living in Germany with my prince for a few years now!! When I was in Bangkok, it was so easy to find something to eat because food is everywhere and you can find food 24/7 in Bangkok from Dusk till dawn!. They are so cheap and very convenience. On 2014 I had a chance to take a Thai cooking class to upgrade my knowledge about cooking but I still didn’t have much chances to cook for myself then until I had to move to Germany and live here, it pushed me to have to cook for myself if I crave for Thai food and Hometown flavors. It takes a lot of researches, practices and experiments to master my dishes because the ingredients here is so different than back home and I need to substitutes a lot of ingredients that are not available here in Germany. Some may wonder why don’t I just go to any restaurant for Thai food? It is because the price is super high and unaffordable, let say a dish of Padthai will cost me 10 Euros which equal of 400 baht in Thailand and that is our minimum wage for the whole day of work Haha. The taste is too mild for my taste as well ( we Thais are eating very very flavorful, spicy and strong taste, which in Europe most of the food were adapted to suit European taste) Eventually I have to try and cook for myself and that was the start and inspiration to my channel Aroy Family! ** IMPORTANT ** Each menu that I offer has no fixed recipe, I cook and season everything with my own inspirational and personal taste. I strongly believe that cooking is a form of art We might be cooking the same thing but the results might come out different!. Different people, different technique and nobody is better than anybody, it is really just you like it or not. Therefore every menu on my channel is from my personal taste that I think they are great! Even Fish sauce or soya sauce 3 different brands have 3 different tastes! So what I am trying to say is that my cooking channel is more like a guild lines to “How to cook Thai food”. Your food might taste different from mine and that is up to the ingredients you choose from the market and you can taste and adjust your own dish as you like!. For example some of the veggies are tropical and you cannot find it in Germany or Europe but there are always a substitute! Most of Thai dishes contains a lot of sugar, chilies and oil! So if you are not a fan of those things you can adjust and minimized them as you like, including other seasoning as well to make it match your taste!
