Mortal Kombat 9 Ranked Matches 2.2 Raiden, Scorpion, Noob, Ermac, Mileena, Sindel, Smoke, More

Raiden/Scorpion 0:20 | Noob Saibot/Raiden 1:52 | Ermac/Raiden 3:28 | Mileena/Sindel 5:41 | Smoke/Raiden 7:40 | Sindel/Nightwolf 8:59 | Raiden/Kung Lao 10:36 Welcome to the M0RTALK0MBATCHANNEL! This video contains ranked matches 5-11 of an 11-match set played on July 3rd, 2011, by David_Dare on PSN. With this video I decided to drop the audio commentary and just go straight to the fights. In the last video I went 3-1 in ranked matches. 1 - The battle against Scorpion wasn't too tough. I kept him off balance with overheads and teleports. Raiden's teleport is pretty effective at confusing people. 2 - Noob adjusted well to my aggressive style with Raiden in round 2, but the opening he left for my X-Ray attack cost him. 3 - Ermac did well to escape my X-Ray in round one. I should have anticipated his attack, blocked, then punish to win the round. He pretty much dominated me with aggression in round 2, and I had little chance for a comeback. 4 - I picked Mileena this time around against what I thought would be a weak opponent. I like Mileena, I just still need more time with her. Sindel did a good job of zoning me at a distance. A simple drop teleport by Mileena during Sindel's projectiles would have won round 1 for me, but I choked. I need to work on blocking low projectile attacks. 5 - Despite this guy's 0-2 record, I decided to forego my experimental characters and come back with Raiden to try and atone for 2 straight losses. I pretty much dominated him, ending with a babality. As you may have noticed, I'm not really big on doing fatalities. I've seen them done numerous times by now and think they're a waste of time. I still, however, like to do an occasional stage fatality or babality. 6 - This is a rematch with Mellox from fight #4. For some reason I didn't make the connection, again assumed I was up against a weak opponent, even though I previously lost to him, and went with the latest character I'm practicing, Nightwolf. I fought like a noob in this fight. It's times like this when I second-guess straying from my mains, but I want to learn some other characters and not make this series a Raiden/Smoke marathon. I think Nightwolf will make for a formidable character once I have him figured out. 7 - How do I follow up a humiliating loss? Come back with Raiden. Kung Lao used to get under my skin when I first started playing. There seemed to be a lot of Kung Lao players back in the day, but, now, not so much. This guy gave me a run for my money. I'm struggling with my jump punch kombos, something I need to fix. After going 3-1 in the previous video, I finish the set going 4-3 for a total of 7-4. 2 of my losses were with secondary characters, and that stings a little, but I refuse to stick with just one or two characters all the time. Hopefully after some practice I be able to improve my win/loss with some new characters. Thanks for watching. Any comments, requests or suggestions are appreciated.
