EASY RECIPE TO MAKE AT HOME TARO/YAM RICE, Using Rice Cooker / COOK WITH ME This is a very simple one dish meal which consists of vegetables like cabbage, yam and mushroom. If you don't like pork belly then you can replace it with lean pork or chicken fillet. It will taste just as good, the secrete of making this dish fragrant and tasty is by adding pound dried shrimp and fried shallot. The aroma of the shallot oil will make the rice taste great. TARO/YAM RICE RECIPE Ingredients: Taro/ Yam, peel and cut into 2" Cubes Pork Belly, removed excess fat and cut into thin strips Cabbage, shredded Shittaka or Dry Mushrooms, soaked till soft Dried Shrimps, soaked till soft 1 Tablespoon Of Minced Garlic 4 Shallots, thinly sliced Seasoning: Soy Sauce Dash Of Dark Soy Sauce 1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil Dash Of Pepper 1 Teaspoon Cooking Wine Garnish: METHODS: Heat up a wok and add cooking oil. Stir-fry the shallots and garlic until aromatic. Add pork (or chicken), mushrooms and dried shrimp and stir-fry until the meat changes color. Use the spatula to break the ground pork or chicken so they form into small lumps. Add yam/ taro cubes fallow the wash rice into the wok and do a few quick stirs. Transfer everything into the rice cooker and cook it like you are cooking steamed rice.
