It’s one of India’s most famous bird sanctuaries and a haven for both resident and migratory birds, including the Siberian crane. Covering 29 square kilometers, the park is home to wetlands, grasslands, and woodlands, making it a perfect spot for wildlife. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, spotting animals like deer, turtles, and jackals, and exploring the park on foot, by bicycle, or by rickshaw. The sanctuary also features the historic Keoladeo Temple, adding a touch of spirituality to its natural beauty. During our visit, we started by spotting owls, jackals, and four pythons, along with turtles, monkeys, and many birds. Interestingly, our day both began and ended with jackals—at the end, we saw them on a hunt! The picnic area in Keoladeo is a peaceful spot shaded by trees, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a packed meal. Families often stop here to take a break while exploring the park. It’s clean and serene, but be cautious of monkeys—they might snatch your food! The tower in the park is a great place to get a bird’s-eye view of the surroundings. It’s especially popular during migration season when rare birds can be spotted. For nature lovers, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy wildlife and the beauty of the park. As the day came to an end, we saw people sitting and enjoying the stunning sunset. This place truly feels like a slice of heaven. We also noticed many green pigeons camouflaged in the trees—it was quite a challenge to spot them! If you’re planning to visit, you can easily reach Keoladeo from Bharatpur. We came here from Vrindavan, as we were spending a week exploring the area. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Consequence - Wonders by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
