LG TV Rename HDMI Inputs - How to Rename or Edit LG Smart TV HDMI Ports and Input Names LG Original Remote Control: https://amzn.to/3vxYmdb LG Magic Remote Control: https://amzn.to/3DZGGKB If you own an LG TV and have video devices plugged in, you can make them easier to identify by changing it's name in the input menu. And in this short video I'll show you how to rename your HDMI inputs on an LG TV running WebOS. So on your remote press the input button. When the list of inputs or sources are on the screen, scroll to the bottom and select All Inputs. In the input manager, I already have HDMI 3 renamed as Chromecast. On HDMI 4 I have my Apple TV connected there and I want to change it say Apple TV in the input list. So I'll use the right arrow button on the remote and scroll over until the Input Label tab is highlighted. Press the center select button on the remote and the virtual keypad appears. Type in whatever you want the input name to be. Again, this is where my Apple TV is plugged in so I'm changing this to reflect that source. It's a bit tedius to do this with arrow buttons but at least I'm glad I have the ability to rename my inputs. When done, highlight Enter and select it. And now my HDMI 4 label has been renamed to Apple TV. If I had other devices like an Xbox or Playstation on HDMI 1 or 2 I would just repeat the steps and rename those also. When I exit out and bring up the main input list, I can actually see the names of my devices instead of having to guess where each thing is plugged into.
