This series can be ussed as a walkthrough/guide for Resident Evil 4, but I make no guarantees about playing the game perfectly or acquiring 100% of the treasure. I do know quite about the game, though. Resident Evil 4 takes place several years after the Raccoon City Incident which includes the events of Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3. Leon Kennedy, one of the protagonists from Resident Evil 2, has been assigned to track down the kidnapped daughter the United States President. His search brings him to a rural Spanish village where the villagers have been infected by a parasite, the Plaga. Leon discovers that Ashley, the President's daughter, has been kidnapped by the leader of parasite-worshipping cultists known as Los Illuminados led by Osmund Saddler. Originally released for the Gamecube, Resident Evil 4 is a stark departure from the normal gameplay style of previous Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 4 maintains the series trademark tension, but the Shinji Mikami re-imagined the direction of the series and took RE4 in a decidedly more action-focused direction. As such, Resident Evil 4 was one of the earliest action-horror third person shooter hybrids. One early build of the game wound up becoming what is now Devil May Cry. This early build of Resident Evil 4 was spun off into it's own game because it was deemed to be too much of a departure from classic Resident Evil.
