The Forgotten Genius of Uncharted 1

The Forgotten Genius of Uncharted 1

The Uncharted series is home to some of the greatest action sequences in all of gaming. These games are straightforward, bombastic thrill rides that take their players seamlessly from scene to scene. But... no one ever seems to talk about the first one. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is far from a masterpiece, but it's a game I have immense respect for. Everything in Uncharted 1 keeps the player moving forward. And I do mean EVERYTHING. (Also, I somehow had the self-control to not make a Not Like Us joke in a video where I say "Drake" a bunch. Small victories, I suppose.) -- Patreon (Bonus Videos & Early Episodes):   / iamadot   Socials, etc.: https://bsky.app/profile/iamadot64.bs...   / iamadot64   -- Game Discussed: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (2007) / Platform: Playstation 3 / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Naughty Dog / Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, Cinematic, Narrative-Driven, Pastiche -- Games Referenced: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009) / Platform: Playstation 3 / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Naughty Dog / Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, Cinematic, Narrative-Driven, Pastiche Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (2011) / Platform: Playstation 3 / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Naughty Dog / Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, Cinematic, Narrative-Driven, Pastiche Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (2016) / Platform: Playstation 4 / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Naughty Dog / Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, Stealth, Cinematic, Narrative-Driven, Pastiche Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (2017) / Platform: Playstation 4 / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Naughty Dog / Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, Stealth, Cinematic, Narrative-Driven, Pastiche Uncharted: Golden Abyss (2011) / Platform: Playstation Vita / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Bend Studio / Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, Cinematic, Narrative-Driven, Pastiche ICO (2001) / Platform: Playstation 2 / Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Team ICO / Genre: Action-Adventure, Puzzle, Minimalist, Experimental . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
