Hermitage Grange

This 1982 vintage, 1984 bottled, Penfolds Hermitage Grange was one of five Granges we won at Ord Minnett Buderim, quite unexpectedly, about 8 years ago; one we opened about 5 years ago and it was disappointing; this one, opened Friday 5th March 2010, was, despite the worries at the start, SUPERB. The bottle was opened, decanted into a large open top glass bowl, allowed to breath for nearly 3 hours, re-bottled and then enjoyed an hour or two later at Il Secondo, Maroochydore, Qld. A very good night.
